Big Moose Lake, NY
Big Moose Lake, as seen from a gazebo on the western edge of the lake. Big Moose Lake is one of the most remote bodies of water in the Adirondack Mountains. Located north of Eagle Bay, Inlet, and Old Forge, the lake (as well as the small hamlet of Big Moose) is a favorite of vacationers looking to get away from the crowds. The low hills around the lake and the rugged shoreline make this a particularly scenic spot in the central Adirondacks.
Landscapes of America, a special feature on the Travel Guide of America site, includes photos of beautiful places in the United States, including this scene at Big Moose Lake, New York.
