A view of Meadow Pond in Great Brook Farm State Park, Carlisle. The small town of Carlisle is located only about 20 miles northwest of Boston, but much of the land is undeveloped, with a particularly large part of rural land being found at Great Brook Farm State Park. Carlisle is just north of Concord and Lincoln, two other attractive towns in the Boston area.
