The cog railway, as seen from the summit of Mt. Washington, NH. Mt. Washington is the highest point in the northeastern part of the United States, and also has some of the wildest weather on Earth. It is a popular mountain for hikers, and also has a toll road to the top. Mt. Washington is located north of Jackson, Glen, and North Conway, NH, near the Wildcat, Attitash, and Mt. Cranmore ski area.
