Black Mountain is a resort community and crafts center along the eastern edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Located a short distance east of the city of Asheville, Black Mountain has dramatic mountain views from its downtown area and relatively cool, crisp air due to its high elevation. It is also close to the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, making it a popular stopping point for travelers along that route.
